About the Silver Sands Motel
My husband and I stumbled across the small town of Westport, WA a few years back and fell in love. Then came our opportunity to become involved with the community and the town. We met the owner of Silver Stands Motel and fell in love with the idea of becoming hoteliers. We took a leap of faith and bought the motel in Westport WA. We are a small family-operated business and have dreams of buying older motels and bringing them back to life. Our number one priority is guest satisfaction. Across the U.S. there are hundreds of motels being forgotten, and each one of them has a story. We hope to bring some of those motels back into existence. Silver Sands is our first one and not our last. Having a passion for this type of business makes it even more special.
Silver Sands Motel was first established in 1969, it was one the last new construction hotels during the era of the fishing boom. The owner of Silver Sands operated the hotel since 1986 with her late husband. She saw something in us that reminded her of their journey when they first started out. She trusted us that we would bring Silver Sands back to life for the community and guests. Our goal was to continue her legacy and keep her traditions going. Guest satisfaction was always her priority. We acquired the motel in early 2022 and began our remodeling and design journey. Completing renovations on all 19 units by June 2022. Opening day was June 17, 2022, a day we will always remember. We opted to keep the Silver Sands name because of its great reputation. Some of the same guests have been staying here for over 30 years, it was a pleasure to have them welcome us as new owners and of course, they loved the new improvements we have made.
We take pride in being the owners of Silver Sands Motel and hope to learn something new every day from our guests. Management at the motel would love to know how to improve guest satisfaction. We hope everyone enjoys their stay and comes back for years to come. Westport, WA is a neat town with plenty of activities for families to build memories.
